type='text'>My computers degree already has jobs in turnaround...</title><content type='html'>My computers degree already has jobs in turnaround in the KC area.  Another year and it will be a less people than postings market.         I went to a mixed program school.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Star misses the point on it being a school-wide thing.  It&amp;#39;s a program thing.  Some schools, like S&amp;amp;T, focus on certain hard skill programs, others don&amp;#39;t.  This is spread around industries.  Accounting vs marketing is hard vs soft in the same school.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My wife is back to school for accounting for that exact reason.  She&amp;#39;s moving from a low demand area with soft skills and too many people  to one with hard skills and a need in any market.  And the pay difference shows.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hard skill jobs rarely disappear.
